THE COMPANY:

We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable multi-million-pound business located in Cumbria who are celebrating fantastic success in 2022 and forecasting further expansion next year. Due to this continued success, they are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team and really put their own stamp on the role as they continue to grow.

THE PRODUCTION MANAGER ROLE:

  • Working closely with the current 4 Production Team Leaders, you'll be taking responsibility for the Production operations
  • Reviewing ways of working across the production site to identify areas of improvement
  • Working with team leaders and other colleagues to ensure they are organised and focussed to achieve the goals and operational KPIs whilst maintaining H&S regulations and a great culture
  • Conducting in depth analysis of the production site to review and recommend improvements around performance, product quality, delivery time, profit and Health & Safety
  • People management of the existing team leaders and further managers as the team grows
  • Implementing policies and procedures across the production site

THE PERSON:

  • Must have experience as a Production Manager within a manufacturing business
  • Good people leadership skills with the ability to ensure that good manufacturing procedures are adhered to and key deadlines are achieved.
  • Detailed knowledge of manufacturing scheduling and optimisation
  • Good computer skills especially advanced MS Excel
  • Proven skills in Lean and CI tools
  • Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
