GRADUATE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

SALARY £20,000 - 1ST YEAR OTE £30,000

We are looking for a Graduate Business Development Executive to kick start their career with my client as a platform role to springboard into either Field Sales, Account Retention, Professional Services, Marketing or Finance.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be a bright, strong, articulate and outgoing graduate to join this hugely successful Business Development Team and help generate new business sales opportunities to help drive the business forward.

My client is a well-established software company based in Surrey, with a strong product offering and an excellent blue-chip client base. They are well placed in a growing market and pride themselves on being a young, dynamic and social company that employees can build their career within.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate qualified new sales opportunities with key stakeholders who have decision making authority with the ambition to exceed personal targets, through research, email campaigning, networking and referrals
  • Maintains a sales funnel of high value opportunities that meet qualification criteria
  • Develop in-depth product knowledge to be able to pitch and articulate this to customers in a concise and professional manner
  • Understand competitor solutions to be able to pitch their solution against them
  • Submit standard sales metrics, e.g. weekly forecasts, pipeline, funnel, monthly progress and business reports on a regular and timely basis
  • Maintains our CRM system effectively for opportunity and contact management

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree desirable but not essential
  • Ideally - 1 year + related new business sales experience (but not essential)
  • New business and appointment setting experience is vital
  • Possess strong consultative and solution selling skills
  • Experience in developing excellent relationship and networking skills, working well in a team but also independently
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a good listener
  • Enthusiastic, competitive, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive approach to work, and a confident approach to closing business
  • A desire to understand a product in depth and passionate about communicating customer benefits
