COMPLIANCE OFFICER
HOME BASED - MUST BE BASED IN SCOTLAND
UP TO £45,000 + PROGRESSION + FANTASTIC BENEFITS
My client are a market leading business in the automotive industry. Due to continued growth and success they now have an opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join their team as they expand. You will be working across sites in Scotland and from home.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Compliance Officer / Compliance Manager / Regional Compliance Manager / Compliance Lead / Compliance Consultant / Regulatory Compliance Manager / Regulatory Compliance Advisor / Regulatory Compliance Coordinator / Compliance Associate to join an ambitious, rewarding and fast paced business with a passion for developing their people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with sites across Scotland to support them with the regulatory compliance obligations and any queries they have around FCA regulations, trading standards and consumer rights
- Proactively managing audits that are due across the sites and working with the audit team to ensure the sites are prepared
- Analysing weekly and monthly reports and periodic audits, reporting these results back to Directors with suggestions for improvements
- Agreeing improvement plans, revised processes and other changes to ensure the compliance of all sites and the consistent improved efficiency of the compliance function
- Managing relationships and processes with insurers
- Producing reports for internal and external use on FCA policy
- Interpreting updates to regulations from FCA, ICO, trading standards etc and revising processes to adhere to any changes
- Implementing any requirements of FCA rules and regulations relating to appointed representative firms
- Documenting and implementing changes to the governance plan/activity in line with FCA rules and regulations
Key Skills & Experience:
- Ideally from a Compliance Officer / Compliance Manager / Regional Compliance Manager / Compliance Lead / Compliance Consultant / Regulatory Compliance Manager / Regulatory Compliance Advisor / Regulatory Compliance Coordinator / Compliance Associate or similar background
- Understanding of FCA, ICO, GDPR and trading standards regulations
- Excellent communication and time management skills at all levels
- Excellent administration and telephone skills
- Full UK Driving licence and vehicle
- Computer literate and aptitude in Microsoft Office
